Ocean Shower Curtains

Ocean shower curtains give a sense of being surrounded by a tropical paradise. They allow us to bring the ocean and all it's beauty home. A shower's curtain in any bathroom is the main focal point in most cases. If you have a mismatched or worn out one it could be ruining the look you're after. Ocean themes are a popular trend, which gives consumers a large variety of items to choose from. They also spread out into tropical themes, paradise themes, beach themes and more.

Many of the items you'll find in their designs include sea turtles, flowers, surfboards, beaches, sunshine, sunsets, sailboats and other types of boats, seashells, sea animals, waves and more. These items are usually placed into designs or patterns. Some of this style of curtains have tribal patterns and designs, giving them a more authentic ocean feel.

They can be made of materials such as vinyl, polyester, cloth, cotton, plastic, or authentic materials such as real Hawaiian T-shirt material (if you were going for a Hawaiian theme). Designs can be simple or complex. They can have hues of color that are bold, bright or dull. Generally, a good shower curtain is a good example of someones personality.

There are numerous places to find them. They can be found in department stores, local home stores, on the internet or even in a specific geographical location. Any store that has a bathroom department or sells bathroom sets might have one that fits your style. Most of the time the cost of the curtain will average in between fifteen and one hundred dollars. The cost always depends on factors such as the manufacturer, design, pattern, theme, authenticity and size.

Shower Enclosure for Rugby Players?

Had a hilarious conversation with a colleague recently, about writing an article for the most basic shower enclosure on the face of the Earth. The New Era Pivot Shower enclosure.

I had to write some 500 words or so about the product, which is, in effect, a glass box with a hinged door on one side. And so my writing skills were challenged to within an inch of writer's block, until he mentioned something that got my attention.

Some 25 years ago I watched a program called Tomorrow's World - a show which showcased new technology and how it might change our lives beyond 1990. On this particular show they covered an invention competition organized by the Prince of Wales.

I remember there being one invention which could be marketed to Bill Board companies which would allow you to see one image from one side and a completely different one if you stood on the other. Nifty indeed if you're in the habit of looking behind you as you drive down the road. But the invention which won the competition was something a little more pedestrian and a lot safer.

It was a type of glass which repelled water and dirt - that is to say, the make up of the glass caused water droplets to pool together and run off the glass in sheets leaving a pristine surface. Quite impressive, especially when Charlie, threw a bucket of mud at a large sheet of it. The mud simply ran off the surface like water off a duck's back and it looked perfectly clean. Having received his award, the victor said that he hoped to market the invention to commercial property developers for use in windows for tall office blocks. Seemed like a great idea. And that was the last anyone heard of it.

Like many inventions it probably went the way of the 'Sinclair C5' with the inventor occupying his time with other things. So I was surprised when my colleague mentioned the fact that a similar characteristic could be found on the glass of the New Era Pivot shower enclosure. He said that New Era had developed a patented coating called 'Easiclean', which repels water and dirt in the same way as the aforementioned invention which means that you and I don't have to clean it as often. Better yet, if you're particularly dirty - say a rugby player or mud wrestler, you can rest assured that even a mud spattered shower enclosure will look beautiful once your done. Now that did grab my attention and I finally had something to mention other than the fact that the walls are see through and the door opens and closes.

Thanks Bob.

Considerations in Choosing a Shower Tray

Shower trays are an integral part in any bathroom. Without this, water from the shower will leak down the sides of the wall and ruin the foundation of the wall, which, in the long run, can ruin the integrity of the house. There are two important things you need to consider in the installation of your shower tray after you have chosen your pick. Should it sit flat on the floor or should it sit on a base or a stand?

Of course, the first thing that you have to do is to choose your shower tray. There are a lot of them in shopping centers. You can even visit the manufacturer yourself and choose one from there. Not only are you going to get good tips and advices in the installation process, but you will also be given a detailed description of each shower tray, giving you the pros and cons of each. Or you can always log into the Internet, and purchase at one of the websites that offer top-quality shower trays in the Internet.

Once you have chosen your shower tray, you need to decide if you want it to sit directly on the floor or if you want it to sit on an elevated base or a stand. If you want it flat on the floor, you should remove some part of the floor to make room for the waste traps. In addition, you should consider the position of the waste traps in that they should be easily accessed.

By putting it on a base or a stand, the shower tray will be elevated, and there is ample room for the waste traps as well as easy access of them. You need to install the shower tray first before tiling the walls around it. This lessens the risk for water leaks down the sides and waterproofs your shower area.

The choice really is yours as it depends on how you want the overall appearance to look.

Bathroom Wall Mirrors

The time we spend in the bathroom is something that we should enjoy and lavish because that's the only time that we can spend experience peace and quiet with ourselves. Most people have very busy schedules and lifestyles and the only time that most of the busy people can relax and unwind is when they are in the bathroom.

Wall mirrors are a great accessory to a bathroom. Having a bathroom with no mirror(s) is just like having a house without any windows. Wall mirrors are great space savers because they don't really get a lot of floor space since they are just usually mounted up on the wall.

Classic Rectangular Mirrors

Most bathrooms have rectangular mirrors mounted up on the wall. If you are getting bored of the monotony of your mirror, maybe it's high time that you ditch you boring wall mirror and start looking for a new mirror that would add some spice and excitement to your daily bathroom experience.

There are classic rectangular mirrors that are full of interesting art and design. You can try searching the internet for beautiful mirror pieces if you are too busy to shop by foot. For sure, you can stumble upon a wide array of rectangular mirrors for your bathroom.

frameless Mirrors

If your bathroom is more on the simple and minimalistic side, then you can most definitely get away with frameless mirrors. These mirrors look great with white or simple tiles. They may look dull and plain, but if teamed with the proper design, lighting and bathroom accessories, they will surely enhance the look of your bathroom.

Gear Tilt Mounting Mirrors

If you are the type of person who is very particular with your physical appearance, you might find tilting wall mirrors to be more useful and efficient rather than plain wall mounted mirrors that offer no adjustment of movements.

With tilting wall mounted mirrors, you can easily adjust the mirror's view so that you can see yourself from different ascending or descending angles.

Venetian Mirrors

Classic and elegant - two words that describe Venetian mirrors. If you are a big fan of sophisticated and intricately designed mirrors, Venetian mirrors are perfect for you. Unlike ordinary frames of bathroom mirrors, the design and appeal of them are on a greater level. You can order custom-made mirrors to fully suit your style and preferences.

Pamper Yourself With Rain Shower Heads

Ever thought about how nice it would be to get caught in the rain, if only it wasn't so cold? Now you can experience the soothing, lavish effect of rain on your body, but in a warm and comfortable environment! Rain shower heads are becoming more and more popular as more people catch on to just how great they are. In this article, I will explain them, the adjustments you can make on them, just how popular they are becoming, and I will give a quick overview of how easy it is to install one. Let's get started.

Rain shower heads give the awesome effect of rain or a waterfall, in a warm and suitable temperature. When choosing your own model, keep these in mind; they should have adjustable arms, and be sure to check the size of your shower outlet pipe to make sure your new head will fit exactly. Also, the solid brass-core model will be more durable. The spray top swivel should rotate 180 degrees, and it is ideal to have a flow control mechanism (which can go from 2.5 GPM to 80 PSI) but that device is optional on a rain shower head. Having the showerhead itself is ideal enough!

Just how ideal it is, is easy to explain. These showerheads have become so popular, that they are being installed in newer built homes by default. Also, the showers will often have benches in them. The benches serve as a relaxation spot where you can just let the rain pour over you and melt your thoughts away. To me, sounds like that's fitting to just about everyone! Everyone could use a little relaxation to get rid of their troubles. However, if you don't have a house that's come with a rain shower head, installation is easy.

The replacement of your old shower head with a new one is a generally simple process. You need not replace your entire shower system. You can use the same knobs and everything from your old shower head; you just need to replace that one part. There's no need to call an electrician or plumber to install your new head. After you've browsed online and looked at home improvement stores for your perfect fit with a price suitable to you, all you have to do is simply turn your old showerhead loose and replace it with the wider unit.

Now you can see how easy, comfortable, soothing, and amazing rain shower heads can be. They can offer a wonderful shower experience, comparable to a small stay at the spa; and they can also offer a number of adjustments in exactly how you want your rain to fall on you. Rain shower heads are becoming more and more popular every day, and at a low price and an easy installation fee I can see just why that is.
